Get Married in Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom, lying in the north-eastern quadrant of the island of Ireland, on the western continental periphery often characterized as Atlantic Europe. Northern Ireland is sometimes referred to as Ulster, although it includes only six of the nine counties which made up that historic Irish province. Northern Ireland shares the border to the south and west with the Republic of Ireland and it is a common wedding location for those who live in the island of Ireland.

We have 2 wedding locations in Northern Ireland: Belfast (1h50min by car from Dublin) and Newry (1h20min by car from Dublin). The climate is very similar to the Republic of Ireland as well which makes it easier for locals since there is no drastic changes in the weather.

Wedding Venues in Northern Ireland

It has natural beauty, and tons of history. Also super-friendly locals who know how to have a good time. No wonder Belfast is one of the hottest destinations in Europe to visit. Quick to charm and packed with brilliant attractions, including the world-class Titanic Belfast, this is a city that’s bursting with creativity. You’ll see it in the boundary-pushing art galleries of the Cathedral Quarter, in the super-cool pop-up restaurants that spring up around the city, and in the bustle of St George’s Market, where artisan food producers rub shoulders with craftspeople. Dig a little deeper, and you’ll uncover the layers of history that make Belfast such a compelling place, from its Bronze Age origins to its prosperous shipbuilding past.

Known as the Gateway to the North, Newry sits snugly amidst the natural splendour of the Mourne Mountains and the Ring of Gullion. It’s at the very heart of the Home of St Patrick, on the borders of Game of Thrones Territory, and just a short trip away from the fairy-tale landscapes of Ireland’s Ancient East.

A heady mix of retro and modern gives this city a distinct edge, and Newry has firmly established itself as shopping heaven with locals on the island of Ireland. One of Northern Ireland’s newest city it may be, but the past makes up an integral part of Newry’s modern-day character. And there’s a lot of “past” on offer – after all, human settlement here dates back to 4,000BC.
