EUTR1 Stamp 4 EUFAM application support in Ireland

EUTR1 Stamp 4 EUFAM for Qualifying Family Members

Overview

The EUTR1 Stamp 4 EUFAM application allows an eligible non-EEA qualifying family member of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen to apply for a Residence Card in Ireland under EU Treaty Rights. It is a residence application rather than a visa application.

Both family members must normally be living in Ireland. The EU, EEA or Swiss citizen must also be exercising free-movement rights through qualifying employment, self-employment, study or financial self-sufficiency.

MWeds assesses eligibility, prepares tailored document instructions, reviews the supporting evidence and submits the EUTR1 application through the ISD Customer Portal. Approval and any temporary permission while the application is pending remain subject to Immigration Service Delivery’s assessment.

De facto partners and other permitted family members should review the separate EUTR1A application service.

Eligibility

  • For individuals legally married to an EU national (non-Irish), regardless of naturalization or dual nationality.
  • No minimum cohabitation period required, but you must live together at the time of application.

Requirements

  • Both the Non-EU spouse and EU national must reside together in Ireland.
  • The EU national must exercise EU Treaty Rights in Ireland by:
    • Being employed or self-employed.
    • Pursuing a full-time course of study.
    • Living in Ireland with sufficient resources (approx. €10,000 per person per year in the sponsor’s bank account).

Application Process

  • Entirely online; all documents must be saved in a shared folder provided after consultancy begins.
  • After starting consultancy with MWeds:
    • You will answer questions to help tailor your document list.
    • Receive a customized list of required documents and instructions.

Once documents are prepared and uploaded:

  • MWeds has 7 working days to review your documentation and start your application.
  • MWeds submits the application when all documents are in order and sends confirmation.
