
EUTR2 Permanent Residence Certificate for EU, EEA and Swiss CitizensThe EUTR2 Permanent Residence Certificate provides official confirmation that an eligible EU, EEA or Swiss citizen has acquired permanent residence in Ireland under EU Treaty Rights.
Most applicants qualify after living continuously in Ireland for five years while exercising EU Treaty Rights through employment, self-employment, study, involuntary unemployment or financial self-sufficiency. The applicable conditions must have been satisfied throughout the qualifying period.
Permanent residence arises from meeting the legal requirements; the certificate formally documents that status. It is not an Irish Residence Permit, visa or grant of Irish citizenship.
